The Creator's Story
It was about the year 2000 and my two sons were sitting out on the front lawn with many other children from the neighborhood. I went over to see what they were all doing. I was amazed. These children were trading Pokemon cards. But not just trading cards, these children knew everything about every card. I asked them how many cards there were and one boy said over 150 cards. I immediately thought what a waste of memory. Some of these children have a hard time passing their classes at school and yet can memorize over 150 cards. Then I thought, but what if, what if those 150 cards represented the elements table. These young children would already know the elements table.
From that point on I would think about how to make it happen. How to make children be interested in learning the elements table as much as they were interested in memorizing the Pokemon cards. It had to start off as a cartoon and then graduate to a card game, then to computer games. I started thinking about the cartoon, and dreaming about the cartoon. I would write down scene after scene, my ideas, and information about the characters. Planet Elt evolved into what it is today, and yet today is still just the beginning.
